    The applicant proposes to construct the second phase of a data center campus, known as EdgeCore: Louisa Phase 2. The proposed project involves the permanent discharge of fill material into 4.20 acres of non-tidal wetlands and 6,302 linear feet of stream channel, and temporary impacts to 78 linear feet of stream channel, to facilitate site grading, construction of data center buildings, and associated infrastructure. The project is located west of Shannon Hill Road (SR 605) and east of Parrish Road (SR 683) in Louisa County, Virginia.

    Amazon Data Services, Inc. has proposed to construct the first phase of a two-lane public road to be known as Green Bay Farm Road which will provide through access between Route 33 and Mt. Airy.     Amazon Data Services, Inc. proposes the construction of a data center and associated infrastructure, including parking, internal roads, two substations, and one stormwater pond. The Corps in consultation with the SHPO determined that the proposed federal action will result in an adverse effect on site 44LS0298 and that with the implementation of minimization efforts outlined in the Assessment of Effects for Laurel Hill Baptist Church (dated April 23, 2024) will not adversely affect 054-5530. The Corps is consulting further to develop and evaluate alternatives or modifications to the undertaking that could avoid, minimize, or mitigate adverse effects on historic properties. Comments should be received by the close of business on June 27, 2024.

    The James River Water Authority is requesting a Nationwide Permit #58 for the construction of a new raw water intake off the James River with associated transmission infrastructure that runs to an existing interconnection point near the Town of Columbia. The water supply infrastructure will service both Fluvanna and Louisa Counties. Public comment should be received by the close of business on December 22, 2023.
