PUBLICATION OF A NOTICE OF INTENT IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER

The Norfolk District announces the publication of a Notice of Intent to Issue a Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the Route 460 Location Study from Prince George County to the City of Suffolk, Virginia.  The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Corps of Engineers, as joint lead federal agencies, will supplement the EIS prepared by FHWA (Draft EIS in 2005 and Final EIS in 2008).  The purpose of the SEIS is to evaluate new information regarding the aquatic resource impacts and alternatives described in the EIS.

COMMENT PERIOD:  Comments in response to the Notice of Intent should be made in writing, addressed to the Norfolk District, Corps of Engineers, Regulatory Branch, ATTN:  Alice Allen-Grimes, 803 Front Street, Norfolk, Virginia  23510-1096 and should be received by the close of business on January 27, 2014.

PRIVACY & CONFIDENTIALITY:  Comments and information, including the identity of the submitter, submitted in response to this Public Notice may be disclosed, reproduced, and distributed at the discretion of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Information that is submitted in connection with this Public Notice cannot be maintained as confidential by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Submissions should not include any information that the submitter seeks to preserve as confidential.
