    SUFFOLK, Va. -- A sign warns people of the danger at the Former Nansemond Ordnance Depot. In 1987 the Former Nansemond Ordnance Depot became a matter of public concern when a piece of crystalline TNT was found at the Tidewater Community College, Portsmouth Campus. Extensive historical research, investigations, and testing led the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to place this site on the National Priority list in 1999.     Final FNOD board meeting of 2015 scheduled

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host their quarterly public meeting regarding restoration efforts at the Former Nansemond Ordnance Depot Thursday.
