    Mr. Alan Resh (Cobblestone Cay, LLC) proposes to construct a 15-lot residential development in Chesapeake, Virginia, that would result in the permanent loss of 1.94 acres of non-tidal, forested wetlands. Public comments should be received by the close of business on October 12, 2023.

  • NAO-2010-0809 (Naval Station Norfolk, Maintenance Dredging, Elizabeth River and Willoughby Bay, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 9/13/2023

    The Navy is proposing to perform maintenance dredging at Naval Station Norfolk on the Elizabeth River and Willoughby Bay in Norfolk, Virginia. This project includes maintenance dredging throughout the installation and ocean and/or upland disposal of the dredged material. Approximately 7.7 million cubic yards of material will be dredged from a 340-acre area during the 10-year maintenance period. Dredge material disposal alternatives include ocean placement at the Norfolk Ocean Disposal Site (NODS), placement at the Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area, and/or disposal at another upland site. This public notice is being issued for comments related to the regulatory permits, and also to satisfy the requirements for Section 103 of the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act of 1972. Public comments should be received by close of business Sept. 13, 2023.

  • NAO-2017-1468 / VMRC 23-4025 (Nike Park Road, Ise of Wight County, VA)

    Expiration date: 7/13/2023

    The proposed Nike Park Road Extension project will consist of constructing a new approximately one mile, two lane collector roadway that will also include the construction of a multi-use path that will run parallel to the new facility. The project will impact approximately 157,068 square feet (SF) of nontidal forested wetland; 165 SF of nontidal emergent wetland: and 48.2 linear feet (LF) of jurisdictional ditch. In addition, approximately 1800.7 of nontidal forested wetland; 109.4 SF of unconsolidated bottom; 64LF of intermittent stream. Public comments should be received by close of business July 12, 2023.
  • NAO-2008-01100 (Commonwealth Crossing Business Center, Henry County, Virginia)

    Expiration date: 7/5/2023

    Henry County Development Authority proposes the construction of a 150-acre pad site and installation of appurtenant utility connections within the 765-acre Commonwealth Crossing Business center (CCBC) at latitude 36.55222⁰ N, longitude -79.905097⁰ W. Rail service and all utilities (electric, water, sewer, natural gas, fiber) are also proposed for the site. Impacts associated with the project were previously permitted and taken under VWP IP#11-0838 and NAO-2008-1100 which have now expired. Previously authorized impacts are 0.259 acres of wetland and 8418 linear feet of stream. New impacts proposed for Commonwealth Crossing Business Centre - Lot 2 include a permanent loss of approximately 0.53 acres (22,875 square feet) of palustrine forested wetlands and 5,379 linear feet of stream channel. Public comments should be received by close of business July 5, 2023.

    Chris Bollino of Two Farms, Inc. is proposing the construction of a Royal Farms store and an oil change facility, known as the Edinburg Retail Development, at 1809 South Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake, Virginia. The proposed commercial development will impact approximately 2.25 acres of palustrine forested wetlands which drain to a tributary of the Northwest River. Public comments should be received by the close of business May 25, 2023
