DEEP CREEK BRIDGE CLOSURE TO MARITIME TRAFFIC - DEEP CREEK BRIDGE, DISMAL SWAMP CANAL

From July 6 – August 3, 2026, the old Deep Creek Bridge span will be demolished in preparation for construction of a new span. The facility will be closed to navigation during this four-week period. Those planning to transit the Dismal Swamp Canal are advised to plan accordingly. Transiting via the Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal is a potential alternative.
