Location and Description:
- Approximately 120 miles east of Richmond
- 2000 Census population (approximately): 200.
- 2020 Forecast population: 200.
- Per Capita Income: $24,000.
This project will restore inter tidal wetlands to formerly used dredge material disposal areas, consistent with the goals established by the Commonwealth of Virginia in its Coastal Basin/Chesapeake Bay tributaries strategies. The local sponsor is The Nature Conservancy. The project is currently in the feasibility phase and is funded for work in fiscal year 2007.
