Proposed 3,000' Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) airstrip on the north end of Wallops Island. Impacts will consist of approximately 2.4 acres of palustrine emergent wetlands and 0.15 acres of palustrine scrub shrub wetlands. NASA WFF proposes to compensate for impacts by payment to The Virginia Aquatic Resources Trust Fund and/or on-site mitigation. Comments on this project should be received by the close of business on July 19th 2012.
