NORFOLK, Virginia – The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded Jacksonville, North Carolina-based Military & Federal Construction Company Inc. a contract for $998,383 to upgrade intersections for Roads C and G at Defense Logistics Agency Richmond.

The company will be responsible for roadway improvements to include constructing a roundabout, perform site grading, place new asphalt, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, signs and pavement markings, as well as relocate above ground utilities to underground.

“This project comes at a great time for DLA. With recent additions of the OPS Center and Virginia National Guard Headquarters buildings the intersection will ease congestion anticipated by the new tenants,” said Erick Cooper, Norfolk District project manager.

Work is expected to take place over a 180-day period and should begin in May.
